Chinasa Defects to APC from Labour Party in Abia State

Chinasa, known as "Dogo," has officially left the Labour Party (LP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC). He is a close ally of Abia State Governor Alex Otti and has been a prominent figure in the political landscape of the Bend LGA in the Abia North Senatorial District.

Chinasa previously contested for a seat in the House of Representatives for the Bend federal constituency but lost to Benjamin Kalu. Following his electoral bid, he was appointed as the National Assembly liaison officer for his constituency.

His defection was confirmed during a meeting of APC stakeholders in Owerri, Imo State, which was attended by Governor Hope Uzodinma. Chinasa is expected to contest again in the 2023 elections for the same federal constituency seat, indicating his continued political ambitions within the APC.
