Adamawa APC Women Seek Resolution in Senatorial Contest

The Adamawa State Businesswomen Support Group, led by Bilkisu Song, held a press conference in Yola to address concerns regarding the APC senatorial candidacy process for the Adamawa Central district ahead of the 2027 general elections. The group called on Nuhu Ribadu, a prominent APC leader in Adamawa, to intervene and help resolve issues surrounding the candidacy of Mustapha Salihu.

Song emphasized the need for unity within the party to avoid political crises that could negatively impact women and development in the region. She mentioned that Salihu has been active in the governorship campaign across the state's 21 local government areas and expressed the group's desire for broader representation within the district.

The group also noted that previous senatorial representatives from the area included Aishatu Binani and Jibrin Aminu, and highlighted the importance of engaging stakeholders to consider various aspirants, including Alhaji Aliyu Abbati, who recently stepped down from the primary elections.
