Gwamna Declares Candidacy for Gombe Governorship 2027

On Wednesday, Jamil Isyaku Gwamna formally declared his intent to contest the 2027 Gombe governorship election under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). During a brief ceremony at the APC state secretariat in Gombe, Gwamna submitted his letter of intent at the ward and local government levels, in line with party procedures.

He described his ambition as driven by a new vision aimed at sustaining and consolidating existing achievements while introducing innovative policies that will guarantee long-term development and inclusive growth. Gwamna pledged to prioritize good governance, transparency, and people-oriented leadership, focusing on peace, unity, economic growth, youth and women empowerment, and sustainable infrastructure development.

He urged party members and the electorate to support his aspiration and called on the general public to rally behind his vision for a prosperous Gombe State. Moham Ndu, the Gombe State chairman of the APC, welcomed Gwamna's declaration and wished him success, emphasizing the importance of unity among party members for the upcoming elections.
