Adelabu Consulted Tinubu Before Resigning for Oyo Governorship

Adebayo Adelabu, the immediate past Minister of Power, stated that he consulted President Bola Tinubu prior to his resignation to pursue the governorship of Oyo State under the platform of the Progressive Congress (APC). In a statement made available to Daily Post, Adelabu emphasized that his resignation was not contrary to Tinubu's wishes.

He clarified that he had obtained full approval and blessings from President Tinubu before making the decision to resign. Adelabu urged critics to desist from spreading what he termed as baseless speculation regarding his resignation.

He made these remarks following a warm welcome he received upon returning to Ibadan last Thursday, indicating strong local support for his political ambitions.
