PDP Chairman Mohammed Promises Growth Ahead of 2027 Elections

Abdulrahman Mohammed, the national chairman of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), reassured party members on Wednesday night in Abuja of his commitment to take the PDP to greater heights ahead of the 2027 general elections. Speaking at a grand reception organized by PDP national youth leader Ibrahim Bala Aboki, Mohammed expressed gratitude to the youth wing for their contributions to the party's growth and stability.

He noted that the PDP is gradually regaining strength, with several former members returning to the party. Mohammed emphasized the importance of adhering to the PDP constitution and electoral regulations to avoid unnecessary crises.

He called for greater youth and women inclusion in the political process, advocating for a focus on development rather than violence. Bala Aboki described Mohammed's emergence as the youngest national chairman in PDP history as a significant milestone for the youth within the party.

Samuel Anyanwu, the PDP national secretary, dismissed claims of division within the party, asserting its strength and readiness for upcoming elections.
