AbdulRazaq Urges APC Unity Ahead of 2027 Elections

On Wednesday, Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq addressed party leaders during the swearing-in ceremony of the newly inaugurated All Progressives Congress (APC) state executive, led by chairman Sundai Fagbemi. He emphasized the importance of unity and support for the chairman, stating that the party's success hinges on collective cooperation.

AbdulRazaq warned against treating aspirants as enemies, urging members to create a level playing field ahead of the upcoming primaries. He acknowledged the pressure the party will face in the coming months due to various interests vying for candidacy.

The governor also dismissed speculation regarding endorsing a preferred successor for the 2027 governorship election, insisting on a transparent process for candidate selection. He reiterated that the APC remains a broad platform accommodating diverse political interests and stressed the need for internal democracy within the party.
