APM Candidate Adekanmbi Rejects Being Makinde's Stooge

Hon Bimbo Adekanmbi, the Oyo state governorship candidate for the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), declared on Thursday that he will not be a stooge to Governor Seyi Makinde if elected. Speaking at a stakeholder meeting in Ibadan, Adekanmbi emphasized that he should be held accountable for his own decisions, distancing himself from any notion of being under Makinde's influence.

He acknowledged Makinde's intelligence and contributions to Oyo state, stating, “Governor Makinde has raised the bar in Oyo, and we must not go back to Egypt.” Adekanmbi also discussed the impact of the Ibadan circular road project, revealing that his property in Ona Ara local government area was affected. He expressed his pain regarding the situation, stating, “I am a victim of Ibadan circular road,” and acknowledged the difficulties faced by others impacted by the project.

Adekanmbi's comments reflect his commitment to independent governance while recognizing the challenges of development.
