Gombe APC Candidate Pledges Peaceful 2027 Campaign

Dr Jamil Isyaku Gwamna, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State, announced his commitment to a peaceful and issue-based campaign for the 2027 general elections. During a solidarity visit from various youth groups on Thursday, Gwamna stated that elections should be viewed as a democratic process rather than a hostile contest.

He assured supporters that his campaign would comply with the provisions of the Electoral Act, emphasizing order, civility, and electoral integrity. Gwamna expressed his intention to build on the achievements of the current administration led by Governor Inuwa Yahaya, while also introducing policies aimed at sustainable development through human capital investment.

He praised the accomplishments of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Yahaya as significant assets for the party's campaign. Gwamna encouraged the youth to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and stressed the importance of civic participation, warning against violence and urging all candidates to prioritize the collective interest of Gombe State over personal ambitions.
