Yayari Endorses Gwamna for Gombe Governorship Bid

The governorship ambition of Dr. Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gombe State for the 2027 election has gained significant support with the endorsement from Hon. Ahmed Yayari, the former National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Yayari, who recently defected from the PDP, expressed his commitment to work “assiduously” for Gwamna’s success in the upcoming election.

This pledge was made during a meeting in Gombe with APC supporters from various localities, including Tumfure, Wuro Bobbo, and Wuro Bawa in Akko Local Government Area. The delegation recognized Yayari as a valuable political asset, referencing his experience as the former Director-General of ex-Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s campaign organization.

They believe that Yayari's support will enhance the APC's prospects in the 2027 elections, particularly as their areas encompass 24 polling units that could significantly influence the election outcome. Yayari praised Gwamna’s leadership and contributions to the youth and the state.
