Peter Obi Will Support Leaders Who Fix Nigeria

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, expressed his willingness to support any leader capable of fixing Nigeria, asserting that his political ambition is not fueled by a desperate desire to become president. In an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics, Obi stated that his ultimate goal is to see Nigeria function effectively, regardless of who becomes president in 2027.

He emphasized that he is not desperate to occupy the highest office but is committed to ensuring Nigeria's progress. Obi articulated his vision for a country where individuals can succeed regardless of their background and where young people have opportunities for employment and participation in global affairs.

He mentioned that it does not matter if he becomes president, as long as Nigeria is on a path of development. Obi also reiterated his intention to contest the presidency, believing he has the capacity to address the nation's challenges and unite the country.
