Rhodes-Vivour Confident of Lagos Guber Win in 2027

Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) gubernatorial candidate for Lagos State, stated that he will win the 2027 gubernatorial election without relying on Peter Obi or the Obidient movement. Speaking on a Channel Television morning brief on Thursday, Rhodes-Vivour noted that his political strength has grown beyond the 2023 elections due to grassroots work across Lagos communities.

He emphasized the importance of building a strong political structure and establishing a presence in the community to address local issues. Despite acknowledging the influence of Peter Obi and the Labour Party in the 2023 elections, Rhodes-Vivour maintained that he has a cordial relationship with Obi and that the ADC is capable of forming a strong opposition coalition to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos.

He dismissed claims of limited popularity on social media, asserting that his support base is widespread across the state. Rhodes-Vivour also alleged that the APC's hold on power was not genuinely supported by voters during the 2023 elections.
