PDP Accuses INEC of Being APC's Extension Ahead of 2027

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) has alleged that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), led by Professor Joash Amupitan, is functioning as an extension of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This accusation was made in light of concerns regarding the transparency of the electoral process and the handling of the electronic transmission system.

The PDP expressed that public confidence in INEC has reached a historic low, claiming that the agency no longer operates autonomously or transparently. The party lamented that INEC appears to prioritize the interests of the APC over the citizens, thereby undermining the democratic process and the integrity of the upcoming 2027 elections.
