Gboyega Isiaka Declares 2027 Ogun Governorship Bid

Gboyega Isiaka, a member of the House of Representatives representing the Imeko/Afon/Yewa North Federal Constituency, has officially declared his intent to contest the 2027 gubernatorial elections in Ogun State. This marks his fourth attempt at the state's top job, having previously run in 2011, 2015, and 2019 without success.

During an interactive session with journalists in Abeokuta, Isiaka highlighted his strong academic background and experience as qualifications for the role. He expressed a desire to create a viable economy, improve healthcare, and enhance education in Ogun State.

Isiaka criticized the current administration led by Governor Abiodun, urging the APC party leaders to ensure a fair and transparent selection process for the governorship candidacy. He aims to engage with the people and major stakeholders in the coming weeks to solidify his campaign efforts.
