Jandor Promises Enhanced Welfare for Lagos Residents in 2027

Olajide Adediran, widely known as Jandor, has committed to improving the welfare of Lagos residents if he is elected governor in the 2027 elections. He made this pledge during an address to journalists on the sidelines of the 8th annual Ramadan lecture held in Ikeja.

Adediran emphasized that the primary duty of a governor is to enhance the quality of life for citizens. He promised to implement policies aimed at improving living standards across Lagos, focusing on creating an environment conducive to economic growth and directly engaging in business activities.

He also highlighted the need to address current economic challenges faced by residents, requiring targeted investments in key sectors such as infrastructure, education, and healthcare. Adediran, a member of the APC and leader of the Lagos4Lago Movement, noted the group's resilience despite setbacks in the 2023 general elections.

The guest lecturer at the event, Abdulhakeem Muhammadu Awwal, discussed economic empowerment and poverty alleviation from an Islamic perspective.
