Tinubu Has Not Endorsed Any Candidate for Lagos 2027

Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, who previously contested for the Lagos State governorship under the People's Democratic Party (PDP), addressed speculation regarding endorsements for the 2027 governorship election. He stated that Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, has not endorsed any candidate, specifically referencing Obafemi Hamzat, the current Deputy Governor of Lagos State.

Jandor mentioned that the party has not issued any direct suggestions for a consensus arrangement and dismissed claims that Hamzat has secured the President's backing. He further revealed that he met with Tinubu, who neither discouraged his candidacy nor promised him the party's ticket.

Jandor defended his intention to run, asserting confidence in the political landscape of Lagos, while reiterating that the party has failed to secure its ticket amidst increasing competition.
