Jonathan Welcomes ADC Aspirant Hayatu-Deen in Abuja

On Friday, former President Goodluck Jonathan hosted Moham Hayatu-Deen, the presidential aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Abuja. The meeting focused on the current state of Nigeria and the prospects for the 2027 general elections.

A statement released on Saturday by Hayatu-Deen's media office noted that the engagement reflects the longstanding relationship between the two men, dating back to Jonathan's time in office. Hayatu-Deen previously served as a member of the National Council on Privatisation and chaired the Bureau of Public Enterprises during Jonathan's tenure as Vice President.

He later worked on the presidential advisory committee when Jonathan served as Acting President. During the visit, Hayatu-Deen commended Jonathan for his contributions to democratic governance and electoral credibility across Africa.

Jonathan warmly received the ADC aspirant and wished him success in his political ambitions. Hayatu-Deen, an economist and banker with four decades of experience in the public and private sectors, plans to use his expertise to tackle insecurity, reduce the high cost of living, and create employment opportunities for Nigerians.
