Katsina Assembly Backs Governor Radda for 2027 Re-election

The Katsina State House of Assembly has officially endorsed Governor Dikko Umaru Radda for a second term in the upcoming 2027 governorship election. This announcement was made by the Speaker of the House, Hon. Nasir Yahaya Daura, on Tuesday during the presentation of the N828.64 billion 2027 Appropriation Bill at the Assembly Chamber in Katsina.

Daura emphasized the importance of the budget presentation as it marks the final budget of Radda's first tenure and the last to be presented before the expiration of the 8th Assembly. He acknowledged the positive working relationship between the executive and legislature over the past four years, which has led to significant developments in various sectors including infrastructure, education, and healthcare.

Daura assured that the Assembly would expedite the consideration and passage of the budget. He also expressed support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other APC candidates in the 2027 general election, urging unity among lawmakers for the continued development of Katsina State.
