Kwara PDP Aspirants Unite for 2027 Consensus Candidate

In a significant development for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State, five governorship aspirants have reached an agreement to support a consensus candidate for the upcoming 2027 elections. The aspirants, identified as Ali Ahmad, Omar Bolaji, Gambari Ladi, Hassan Athav, and Olaseni Ibiwoy, convened a meeting facilitated by former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

They signed a letter of agreement emphasizing their commitment to work together for the party's overall success, placing party priorities above individual ambitions. The letter indicates that consultations have already begun to garner support across the state.

The aspirants have pledged to support whoever emerges as the PDP flagbearer. The party's spokesperson confirmed the authenticity of the document, describing it as a genuine signal of the official recognition of the consensus push within the Kwara PDP.
