Kwara PDP Aspirants Reach Consensus Ahead of 2027 Elections

In a strategic meeting held at the Maitama residence of former Senate President and PDP leader Dr. Bukola Saraki, Kwara PDP governorship aspirants have adopted a consensus approach for the upcoming 2027 elections.

The meeting aimed to unite the party and prevent internal divisions that could weaken their electoral chances. Key figures including former Speaker of the Kwara Assembly Ali Ahmad, Omar Bolaji Gambari, Alhaji Ladi Hassan, Olaseni Ibiwoy, Dan Iyan Il Rin, and Engr.

Kale Kawu participated in the discussions. They collectively agreed to prioritize party unity and pledged to support whoever emerges as the gubernatorial candidate.

The aspirants stressed the importance of discipline within the party ranks and committed to ensuring compliance with the agreement to avoid parallel mobilization that could threaten party cohesion. They expressed confidence in the leadership's ability to manage the process fairly and called for divine guidance in their decision-making.
