Kwara Students Endorse Senator Mustapha for 2027 Governorship

During a Ramadan lecture series held on Wednesday, students from the Ilorin Emir Student Union expressed their support for Senator Saliu Mustapha to contest in the 2027 governorship election in Kwara State. The event, which attracted prominent figures including traditional rulers and religious leaders, highlighted Mustapha's role as the current chair of the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Rural Development, and his traditional title as Turaki of Ilorin.

The students, assessing his performance in the National Assembly over the past three years, declared their unconditional support for his gubernatorial ambitions. The President of the Ilorin Emir Student Union, Sheikh Zulkainaini, emphasized the need for leadership anchored in empathy and public welfare, citing Bola Ahmed Tinubu as an example.

The event also featured commendations for Mustapha's community engagement and contributions to the development of the Ilorin Emirate and Kwara State.
