Kwara Youths Endorse Saliu Danladi for 2027 Governorship

Youth groups from four local government areas in Kwara North have expressed their support for Saliu Yakubu Danladi, the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, to contest for the governorship seat in the 2027 elections. This endorsement aligns with their advocacy for the zoning of the governorship position to Kwara North.

The groups, which include the Kwara Central Youth and the Kwara North Agenda, announced their support during a press conference held in Ilorin. They have scheduled a solidarity rally for April 11, 2026, to mobilize further backing for Danladi's candidacy.

The speaker emphasized the principles of fairness, equity, and justice in his campaign, asserting that he has consulted widely among stakeholders and youth. He aims to continue the good governance established by the current governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and believes in his capability to lead the state effectively.
