Lagos APC Denies Allegations of Candidate Imposition

On Thursday, the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) publicly condemned allegations of a conspiracy to impose candidates for the upcoming elections. The party's spokesperson, Sey Oladejo, stated that there is no plot, clandestine meetings, or predetermined candidate lists, calling the claims baseless and a mischievous attempt to create a false impression of a crisis within the party.

The APC expressed concern over certain elements resorting to propaganda and blackmail to destabilize the party's democratic processes. The statement also highlighted that the electoral process is guided by the provisions of the law, specifically referencing the Electoral Act amendment.

The Lagos APC reassured stakeholders, including security agencies and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), of their commitment to a transparent and legitimate electoral process, dismissing the allegations as the work of political mischief-makers.
