APC Denies Candidate Imposition Ahead of Ondo Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially denied allegations of candidate imposition in Ondo State ahead of the upcoming state and national assembly primaries scheduled for later this month. This denial follows concerns raised by a group within the party, which claimed that a list of preferred aspirants was compiled without proper consultation, potentially creating divisions and affecting the party's chances in the general elections.

The group, identified as Voice Network, warned against sidelining party stakeholders during the selection process. In response, Steve Otaloro, the APC's Director of Media and Publicity, dismissed these allegations, asserting that the party has no plans to impose candidates and is committed to ensuring a transparent process.

He assured party members that Kolawole Babatunde, a party leader, will oversee credible and transparent primaries.
