Lagos APC Critiques ADC's 2027 Governorship Ticket

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized the African Democratic Congress (ADC) 2027 governorship ticket of Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Babatunde Gbadamosi, labeling it a “political experiment.” Seye Oladejo, the APC Publicity Secretary, stated that the emergence of these candidates does not reflect the necessary governing experience or grassroots political structure to effectively manage Lagos. He highlighted Rhodes-Vivour's previous candidacies under the KOWA Party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Labour Party, and Gbadamosi's history with the Abundant Nigeria Renewal Party, Action Democratic Party, and PDP.

Oladejo questioned their qualifications for managing the state's complex bureaucracy and finances, despite acknowledging Rhodes-Vivour's second-place finish in the 2023 Lagos governorship election. He urged the ADC to present detailed governance plans rather than relying on social media visibility, asserting that Lagos cannot serve as an “internship centre” for political experimentation.
