Chinedu Ogah's Agenda for Food Security and Growth

Chinedu Ogah, the representative for Ikwo/Ezza South Federal Constituency, has outlined an ambitious agricultural development agenda focused on enhancing food security and promoting rural industrialization in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Ogah emphasized that agriculture remains the backbone of the economy in Ikwo/Ezza South and pledged to build on record interventions in the sector from 2019 to 2023.

He noted that several agricultural support programs have been implemented across the constituency, including the distribution of fertilizers and improved farm inputs, as well as financial assistance to farmer cooperatives. These interventions have significantly increased agricultural production and enhanced rural livelihoods, expanding economic opportunities for women and youth in farming communities.

Ogah stressed the vision to transform subsistence agriculture into commercial enterprises capable of generating wealth and creating jobs, thereby boosting local economic development. He aims to align his agenda with the federal government's renewed hope program, prioritizing economic diversification, food sufficiency, and job creation.
