Makinde and Daura Launch Nationwide Town Hall Meetings

The presidential campaign organization for Seyi Makinde, the Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, along with his running mate, Lawal Daura, has announced a series of town hall meetings across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones. This initiative, part of their "Reset Nigeria" campaign, aims to engage citizens and stakeholders in discussions about critical national issues, particularly concerning the country's stability and the welfare of its citizens.

The first meeting is scheduled for September 22, 2026, in Katsina State, followed by a South-South meeting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, on September 25, 2026. Additional meetings will take place in Lafia, Nasarawa State, on September 28, and in Enugu on September 30.

The campaign emphasizes accessibility, accountability, and transparency in leadership, aiming to resonate with citizens across various demographics.
