Adebayo Blames Elites for Nigeria's Problems Ahead of 2027

Adewole Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), asserted that the elites residing in the Presidential Villa and state government houses are significant contributors to Nigeria's problems. He made this statement during the unveiling of his manifesto for the 2027 presidential election, which was broadcast live on TVC and monitored by DAILY POST.

Adebayo criticized the leadership in Nigeria, claiming that bad governance has been the country's primary issue since 1999. He expressed confidence that if Nigerians elect the right leadership in the upcoming general election scheduled for January 16, 2027, issues such as banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping could be eradicated within four years.

Adebayo emphasized that changing the government through voting could lead to a 60 percent reduction in banditry. He also challenged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to participate in a public debate ahead of the presidential election.
