Goje Confident of Support After APC Screening for 2027

On Saturday, Goje, a former governor of Gombe State, underwent a screening exercise by the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the party's national headquarters in Abuja. He stated that his constituents are solidly behind him as he prepares to contest the primaries for the Gombe Central Senatorial District in the upcoming 2027 elections.

Goje reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and described himself as a founding member of the party, committed to advancing its ideals in Gombe State and across the country. He expressed his intention to present himself to the people of Gombe Central for revalidation of the mandate they entrusted to him, emphasizing his dedication to sustainable development in the district.

Goje acknowledged the support he has received from constituents in Akko and Yamaltu Deba local government areas, despite external influences. He is expected to face tough competition from the incumbent governor, Inuwa Yahaya, who is also vying for the APC candidacy in the district.
