Salisu Affirms Ogun APC Ticket for 2027 Elections

Senator Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, representing Ogun Central in the Senate, asserted on Monday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial ticket for Ogun Central remains with him, countering rumors that it had been given to former Ogun State Governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun. During a radio program on Splash FM 106.7 in Abeokuta, Salisu stated that the ticket is “tightly in my pocket” and expressed confidence in his re-election for the 2027 general elections.

He highlighted his legislative accomplishments over the past three and a half years, including the National Internship and Unemployment Benefit Scheme Bill and the National Digital Economy and E-Governance Bill. Salisu also mentioned his initiatives in education, such as sponsoring over 1,000 JAMB candidates and establishing ICT centers at local universities.

His healthcare programs included medical outreach and cash grants for beneficiaries, demonstrating his commitment to community development and impactful legislation.
