Nigeria Immigration Service Inducts 73 New PROs

Seventy-three Public Relations Officers from the Nigeria Immigration Service were inducted into the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations following their successful completion of the Institute’s Training and Certification Programme at the Service Headquarters in Abuja. DCI Akinsola Akinlabi, the Service Public Relations Officer, stated that the induction is part of efforts to enhance strategic communication and professionalize the Public Relations cadre in line with the Service's reform agenda.

At the ceremony, Deputy Comptroller-General FU Nwanneka, representing Comptroller-General Kemi Nandap, urged the newly inducted officers to maintain high professionalism standards and effectively manage public perception. Dr.

Ike Neliaku, President and Chairman of the Council of NIPR, formally inducted the participants, emphasizing the ethical responsibilities of the profession. Akinlabi highlighted the initiative's role in building communication professionals to support institutional reforms and thanked all stakeholders involved in the program's success.
