Governor Buni Mourns Prominent Yobe Citizens' Deaths

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni expressed profound sorrow over the deaths of several prominent individuals from the state, including the late Emir of Ngazargamu, Dr Bukar Aji, and former Permanent Secretary Alhaji Ligali Lawan Ma’aji, along with Hajiya Mairiga Umar and other distinguished citizens. In a statement issued in Damaturu on Sunday by his Director-General for Press and Media Affairs, Mamman Mohammed, Buni described the recent losses as a significant tragedy for Yobe State, emphasizing the lasting contributions of the deceased through their selfless service and dedication to community development.

He called on residents to pray for the peaceful repose of their souls and to support the grieving families. Buni acknowledged the inevitability of death but noted that the succession of losses had cast a shadow over the state.

He prayed for the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to grant them Aljannah Firdaus and to give their families the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
