APC Nasarawa Adopts Direct Primaries for 2027 Elections

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has officially adopted a direct primary mode for the forthcoming governorship primary elections. This decision was made during a high-level meeting involving various stakeholders, including governorship aspirants and members of the National Assembly.

Governor Abdullahi Sule emphasized that this move is part of efforts to ensure inclusivity and unity within the party as they prepare for the 2027 elections. The adoption of direct primaries is intended to allow registered party members the opportunity to participate in selecting the party's candidates, aligning with the democratic ideals promoted by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Governor Sule also announced that the governorship slot would be ceded to the Nasarawa West senatorial zone, highlighting the importance of fairness and equity in the decision-making process. He expressed optimism that the APC would emerge stronger from the primary process and urged party members to remain united and committed to the party's success.
