Southern APC Leaders Endorse Faisal Shuaib for Governor

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Southern Nasarawa have expressed their support for Faisal Shuaib, the former Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), as a candidate for the 2027 governorship election. This backing comes despite the endorsement of Ahm Wadada by Governor Abdullahi Sule as his preferred successor.

Shuaib has been encouraged to contest in the direct primaries scheduled for May 21, 2026, alongside other candidates, including former Inspector General of Police Mohd Adamu. During a rally in Lafia, Shuaib highlighted his contributions to the state's growth and urged the youth to support reliable politicians.

Amina Sani, a 76-year-old leader, expressed confidence in Shuaib's leadership capabilities. The event saw significant turnout, with over 5,000 supporters present, showcasing strong grassroots support for Shuaib's governorship ambition.
