Nenadi Usman Explains Labour Party's 2023 Court Failures

Nenadi Usman, the national chairman of the Labour Party, revealed the reasons behind the party's failure to defend its claims of victory in the 2023 presidential election in court. Speaking at a high-level strategic summit in Abuja, Usman emphasized that the party could not prove its case due to a lack of foundational structures and proper registration of members at the grassroots level.

She noted that the party's inability to register members effectively hindered their capacity to present a strong case, as they could not provide clear evidence of votes. Usman pointed out that the Labour Party's success is contingent upon having registered members who are aware of their polling units and can act as agents during elections.

She criticized the party's internal conflicts and the absence of a robust electoral framework, stating that these issues contributed to their challenges in the 2023 elections. Usman called for unity among members to strengthen the party's political impact moving forward.
