Sam Amadi Advocates Zoning for Nigeria's Stability

Sam Amadi, the Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, articulated in an interview on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ that the concept of zoning is not enshrined in the Nigerian constitution but is necessary for the country's stability. He asserted that while Nigeria cannot be transformed in eight years, it can be saved in four years through effective governance and zoning, which he views as a mechanism to foster harmony and a sense of belonging among citizens.

Amadi emphasized that the constitution does not prevent anyone from running for elective office if they meet the qualifications, but the electorate has the right to choose their representatives. He expressed his support for zoning, arguing that it is a pragmatic approach to addressing Nigeria's current challenges.
