Dickson Declares Qualifications for 2027 Presidency

Senator Seriake Dickson, the former governor of Bayelsa State, stated his qualifications for the presidency in 2027 during an interview. He clarified that he is not currently in the race but is focused on strengthening the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), a new political party he is involved with.

Dickson urged political observers to refrain from speculating about his candidacy. He criticized the People's Democratic Party (PDP), claiming it has lost its identity and is no longer a viable option for Nigerians.

He described the PDP as having undergone "infanticide" due to internal crises and leadership failures. Despite concerns about the NDC's establishment time frame, Dickson expressed confidence in the party's ability to gain traction across Nigeria.

He also criticized the All Progressives Congress (APC) for failing to deliver progress since taking power in 2015, asserting that the country has not seen significant development under the current administration.
