Hayatu-Deen Seeks Presidency, Advocates Unity for Nigeria

Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, a former banker and economist, expressed his intention to contest in the presidential primaries of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday. He stressed that Nigeria requires a competent and unifying leader to confront the country's significant economic and security challenges as the 2027 general elections approach.

Hayatu-Deen highlighted the urgent need for leadership that fosters national cohesion rather than division, asserting that every Nigerian deserves a leader who understands the country's opportunities and problems. He lamented the worsening socio-economic conditions, including high inflation, rising living costs, and insecurity affecting various states.

His campaign will focus on practical solutions to alleviate poverty, reduce living costs, and improve education and health facilities. Hayatu-Deen, who has a background as the pioneer managing director of FSB International Bank Plc, aims to provide leadership that enhances the quality of life for Nigerians and addresses the pressing issues of insecurity and economic hardship.
