Peter Obi Advocates for Basic Government Responsibilities

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), asserted that Nigerians are not asking for too much from their government, emphasizing the demand for basic responsibilities such as improved security, employment, healthcare, and education. Obi made these statements following his interactions with supporters, community leaders, and residents during visits to Kogi, Benue, and Enugu states.

He highlighted that discussions during these engagements focused on significant challenges like insecurity, unemployment, poverty, and deficiencies in healthcare and education. Obi reaffirmed his commitment to addressing these issues and urged NDC supporters to actively participate in the upcoming 2027 elections.

He also visited Otukpa in Benue State and Obollo-Afor in Enugu State, where he listened to citizens' concerns regarding their businesses and livelihoods. Obi noted that the expectations expressed by citizens across these states were consistent, reflecting a desire for security, employment opportunities, and access to functioning hospitals and schools.

He emphasized that these demands are fundamental expectations of a government dedicated to the welfare of its people.
