Peter Obi Critiques APC for Poverty, Promises Change

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), addressed supporters in Sokoto, blaming the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for escalating poverty and insecurity in Nigeria. He asserted that the APC-led administration has failed to provide essential infrastructure and social interventions, contributing to Nigeria's status as the highest poverty-stricken country globally.

Obi pledged that an NDC administration would focus on security, education, and agriculture to revitalize the economy and restore hope among citizens. He emphasized the importance of an efficient railway system for economic growth, promising to enhance rail connectivity between Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara states.

Additionally, he stated that he and his vice-presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, would ensure coordinated leadership. On fuel subsidy, Obi committed to introducing a transparent system to benefit Nigerians and eliminate corruption, vowing to manage the country's oil and gas resources transparently.
