APC Chairman Confident in Tinubu's 2027 Election Support

Prof. Nentaw Yilwatda, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), stated that Nigerians will continue to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections, despite concerns regarding insecurity in the country.

During a media appearance, Yilwatda acknowledged the security challenges Nigeria faces but insisted that the federal government is taking deliberate steps to address these issues. He admitted that the government has not done enough in some areas but emphasized ongoing collaborations with international partners to enhance security operations.

Yilwatda highlighted that the Tinubu administration has already directed an increase in recruitment for security agencies to strengthen internal security. He also mentioned that the federal government is considering the establishment of state police to tackle unique security challenges in different regions.

On economic reforms, Yilwatda defended the administration's efforts, stating that policies are beginning to yield results, including a reduction in inflation and the introduction of programs like student loans and health insurance.
