PDP Rejects Alliance with APC Ahead of 2027 Elections

The People's Democratic Party (PDP), supported by Nyesom Wike, has firmly stated that it will not form an alliance with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the lead-up to the 2027 general elections. Moham Abdulrahman, the PDP's national publicity secretary, emphasized this position during an exclusive interview, dismissing claims of a potential alliance as mischievous.

He expressed confidence that the PDP would defeat the APC in the upcoming elections. The party is currently conducting a nomination exercise, which has been reported to be progressing smoothly, with aspirants from various states, including Bauchi, Plateau, Taraba, and Nasarawa, returning their forms.

Additionally, PDP stakeholders have insisted that no court judgment has nullified the leadership structure of the party, with Samuel Anyanwu asserting that there is no legal basis for claims suggesting otherwise. The party is preparing for its primaries, which they hope will yield positive outcomes for the PDP in 2027.
