Obi and Ameh Demand Credible Elections for 2027

On Sunday, during a thank-you tour in Ogugu, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State, Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, and Peter Ameh, the party’s Kogi East Senatorial Candidate, called for credible elections in 2027. They urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to guarantee that the elections are free, fair, transparent, and credible.

Obi highlighted the need for voters to protect their ballots and insisted that the electoral process should not be manipulated. He expressed concern over Nigeria's worsening economic and social conditions, advocating for leadership that focuses on education, security, and improving living standards.

Obi encouraged voters to select leaders based on competence, capacity, character, compassion, and commitment to national development. He also noted the untapped agricultural potential in rural areas and the necessity for support to farmers to enhance food production.
