Ogun APC Chieftain Mustapha Abdulhakeem Joins PDP

On Thursday, Mustapha Abdulhakeem, the chairman of the Egba Agenda Forum, announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Abeokuta. He expressed support for Oladipupo Adebutu's governorship candidacy and his running mate, Yemi Sowunmi.

Abdulhakeem criticized the current administration under Governor Dapo Abiodun for allegedly marginalizing the Egba people over the past seven years, claiming they have been sidelined in state affairs. He emphasized that the Egba people deserve equitable treatment and should not be considered second-class citizens in Ogun State.

Abdulhakeem commended Adebutu for providing political opportunities for the Egba people and described the PDP's deputy governorship candidate, Kolapo, as a courageous leader. He also highlighted the need for transparency, local government autonomy, and infrastructure development in Ogun State, urging the Egba people to unite and reject political marginalization.
