Okun Youths Endorse Tinubu and Ododo for 2027 Terms

On September 19, 2026, Okun youths officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kogi Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for second terms in office at a political rally organized by the Okun Youth Alliance (OYA) Movement in Isanlu, Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State. The rally, named the OYA 2027 Election Endorsement Rally, took place at the GYB Civic Centre, which has a capacity of 1,500, and attracted youths from across Okunland.

Oladele John Nihi, the Convener of the OYA Movement, stated that the endorsement of Tinubu was influenced by his administration's interventions in Kogi State, particularly in the Okun region, including infrastructure development and key appointments of Okun indigenes to significant federal positions. Nihi also endorsed Governor Ododo for a second term, citing his performance and development initiatives.

He emphasized the importance of continuity in leadership for ongoing programs and urged Okun youths to engage actively in governance and political processes.
