South-South Residents in Kogi Back Ododo, Tinubu for 2027

Indigenes of the South-South states residing in Kogi State have reaffirmed their support for Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in anticipation of the 2027 general elections. A press release signed by Kingsley Oshilime, the Forum’s Acting Secretary, was issued on Saturday, expressing gratitude to Governor Ododo for his warm reception during a meeting at the Kogi State Government House in Lokoja.

The South-South community, which includes individuals from Edo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, and Cross River States, described Ododo as “a perpetual promise keeper” and a true friend. They highlighted his leadership qualities and commitment to unity and development, recalling the traditional title of ‘Oshio’ conferred upon him by South-South stakeholders.

The group declared their political allegiance to the All Progressives Congress, stating that they have no alternative but to support Tinubu and Ododo in the upcoming elections. They pledged their loyalty and commitment to promoting peace and unity within Kogi State.
