PDP Ends Accord Partnership, Backs Fadeyi for 2027

Diran Odeyemi, the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), announced that the collaboration between the PDP and the Accord Party in Osun State concluded with the August 15 governorship election. He stated that the PDP is now prepared to support its candidates in the upcoming general elections.

Olubiyi Fadeyi, the incumbent lawmaker representing the Osun Central Senatorial District, has been confirmed as the PDP candidate for the 2027 elections. Odeyemi urged party members to mobilize support for Fadeyi.

He clarified that during the last governorship election, the PDP had supported the re-election of Governor Ademola Adeleke, who ran under the Accord Party. Odeyemi emphasized that the previous agreement with the Accord Party has ended, and the PDP will now focus on supporting Fadeyi.

Fadeyi, who recently returned to the PDP from the APC, confirmed his candidacy for the Osun Central Senatorial District in a letter to the Senate.
