Odii Declares Intent for 2027 Ebonyi Governorship Race

Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii, a former gubernatorial candidate for the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State, has announced his intention to contest in the 2027 gubernatorial elections under the PDP platform. He emphasized that the party's mandate will not be stolen again, reflecting on the challenges faced during the 2023 elections.

Odii expressed concerns regarding the increasing poverty and insecurity in Ebonyi State, despite significant federal allocations. He stated the urgent need for capable leadership to address economic and human capital development in the state.

Odii made these remarks after successfully submitting his nomination form and passing the screening by the PDP panel at the Legacy House in Abuja. He criticized the current political climate, asserting that democracy must thrive and that there should be no room for dictatorship in Ebonyi State.

Odii expressed confidence in securing the PDP ticket for the primary elections.
