Oyo APC G6 Aspirants Endorse Alli for 2027 Governorship

Four of the six aggrieved governorship aspirants in the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo, known as the G6 bloc, have endorsed Sen. Sharafadeen Alli as the party’s candidate for the 2027 election.

This resolution was announced by Sen. Olufemi Lanlehin, Chairman of the Governorship Aspirants Reconciliation Committee, during a news conference on Sunday in Ibadan.

The committee was formed following the governorship primary that selected Alli as the APC candidate. Lanlehin emphasized the importance of unity within the party, stating that the party could not afford to be divided going into the 2027 elections.

He noted that while some aspirants had concerns about the primary process, the focus now is on building the party's strength. The four aspirants who agreed to support Alli are Rauf Aderemi Olaniyan, Oyedele Hakeem-Alao, Musbau Asatola-Asanike, and Dr.

Ololade Bakare. They expressed their commitment to work together for the party’s success and requested a meeting with President Bola Tinubu to reaffirm their support.
