Oyo APC Aspirants Reject Alli as Gubernatorial Candidate

Six out of eleven gubernatorial aspirants from the Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have expressed their rejection of Senator Sharafadeen Alli as the party's gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 elections. The aspirants, including Engr.

Hakeem ALAO, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, Dr.

Ayobami Lam Adesina, Barrister Akeem Agbaj, and Mr. Ololad Bakar, voiced their displeasure over the decision, claiming that the party did not follow due process in selecting Alli.

They insist that the APC has not fulfilled the provisions of the electoral law regarding the selection of candidates. The aggrieved aspirants made their grievances known during a meeting with a reconciliation committee led by Senator Olufemi Lanlehin and Professor Taohe Adedoja.

Engr. Hakeem ALAO, speaking on behalf of the others, emphasized that the party's choice of candidate did not comply with electoral regulations, and they are seeking a resolution to their concerns.
