On a recent visit to Lagos, Oyo State governorship aspirants Sharafadeen Alli and Teslim Folarin met with President Bola Tinubu as part of their efforts to secure the APC ticket for the upcoming 2027 governorship elections. The meetings, which took place on different days, aimed to garner Tinubu's approval and potential endorsement for their candidacies.

Alli, representing the Oyo South Senatorial District, shared details of his meeting on his verified Facebook page, highlighting Tinubu's commitment to national development and the significance of responsible leadership in the state. He expressed optimism about Nigeria's future following their discussions.

Similarly, Folarin confirmed his meeting with Tinubu via his verified Facebook page, noting the personal impact of the encounter. Folarin has previously served as the Senate Leader from 2007 to 2011 and remains a prominent figure in Oyo politics.

Both aspirants are actively working to position themselves favorably within the APC ahead of the next election cycle.
